Remember that textured background? Here’s the ink layer. I did begin to add a touch of paint because I couldn’t wait, it simply had to be done. This abstract landscape is a gift commissioned for 2 of my favorite special people. 💜 And this documentation is proof that I’m working on it 😂 Watch until the end! 😂 Or don’t. I’m not one to tell people what to do. But isn’t that what you’re supposed to say on instagram? I’m not going to go that far, but as you can see, I did actually sit down and spend some time refining my reel skills… Circles have once again pushed themselves into a painting. This time, I think all the many balls I have in the air are making themselves known, bouncing about in this universe of my life. Catch up time! Scenes from the weekend... Want to see this raspberry-tangerine dream of a painting in person? If you’re in Richmond, you can this weekend. Saturday August 23, and Sunday August 24, I am having a studio sale at my home studio. This body of work is highly textured and the layers of color are difficult to capture in photo or video…these pieces really must be appreciated in-person. I made it out to @artontherockies after two days of pretty much nonstop driving. So happy to be back in the west…feels like home! @mysticalfaerie8 and @jake.ricks met up and stayed with us, which was awesome! Haven't been on here much, too busy making these little 8 x 8" gems. A cooler palette for the steamy hot Virginia weather... The multiple pressures of life keep me from finishing as much artwork as I’d like, and sometimes I just do what I can…a little something, every day. The background had been laid out, and all I could do was tape up a texture square or two, wait for it to dry, tape another couple, let them dry, and repeat. After I’d laid the bricks, I found the time, and I constructed a painting on them.
